A handcrafted celebration of Galway’s iconic Long Walk, this kiln-fused glass sculpture brings together the essence of the West of Ireland in rich detail and luminous colour.
Each piece is individually hand-painted and then fired in the kiln for over 48 hours, creating a layered and vibrant image. Set against a striking turquoise glass background, the design features two elegant swans gliding on the water and two traditional Galway Hooker boats with their distinctive red sails – a nod to local heritage.
The glass panel is mounted on a beautifully unique piece of spalted beech wood, hand-carved by a local craftswomen. No two bases are ever alike, making each sculpture truly one of a kind.
This artwork stands alone and also works beautifully as a sun catcher, allowing natural light to shine through the glass and illuminate the scene.
