“Solas na Farraige”- Light of the sea – Stained Glass Lamp

This unique stained glass lamp, created in collaboration between artists Siobhán Moore and Sue Donnellan in Sue’s studio by the sea, is named “Solas na Farraige” — the Irish for Light of the Sea. The name reflects both the enduring symbolism of the lighthouse as a guiding beacon and the glowing light of the lamp itself.

The four-sided lamp features a lighthouse at its heart, with a red-sailed boat sailing across the panels, capturing the vibrancy and spirit of Ireland’s coastal waters. The colours are bold and luminous, flowing together to evoke the energy of sea, wind, and light.

Finished in a black pewter patina with elegantly curved edges at the top, and set on a wooden walnut handcrafted base, Solas na Farraigeis a celebration of artistry, collaboration, and the timeless bond between land and sea.
