Fused Glass Hot Air Balloon – "Adventure Awaits"

This joyful fused glass hot air balloon is a celebration of colour, imagination, and the quiet thrill of drifting through the sky. Made in our coastal studio, each balloon is carefully handcrafted using transparent kiln-fused glass — vibrant slices of colour arranged and fired over 24 hours to create a one-of-a-kind piece full of light and life, and giving the effect of 3D within the design of the glass piece.

Floating gently below the balloon, the tiny basket reveals a delightful surprise: a hand-painted black cat or dog, patiently peeking out, as if ready for their next great adventure. Each animal is painted using special black glass paint and kiln-fired to become a permanent part of the design — a small, personal detail that brings warmth and character to the piece.

Whether hung in a sunny window or gifted to someone who loves travel, animals, or simply a bit of magic, this glass balloon invites the viewer to dream. A symbol of freedom, curiosity, and the bond between humans and animals, it’s a keepsake meant to lift spirits and stir hearts.
